What is Scriptural Membership? |
Based in Scripture
To become a member of Evangel is to formally commit to our church family as we gather to fulfill God's purposes in our community. These purposes include receiving instruction from God’s Word (1 Tim. 4:13; 2 Tim. 4:2), serving and edifying one another through the proper use of Spiritual Gifts (Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12:4-31; 1 Pet. 4:10-11), participating in Water Baptism and Communion (Luke 22:19; Acts 2:38-42), and proclaiming the Gospel to those who are lost (Matt. 28:18-20). In addition, when we commit to become a member of Evangel, we submit to the care and the authority of the biblically qualified pastors that God has placed to oversee our church.
Based in Common Mission
At Evangel we are all focused on our common vision for existence, so that everyone can experience new life in Jesus. We are committed to being unified under our vision, beliefs, and team values and we ask you to be on mission as well.Membership at Evangel is unique, because it's based in covenant and mission, not in voting.
This is Home. You are Family.
