Welcome to Kid’sTown, which encompasses all of the children’s
ministries of Evangel! We trust that you will find plenty of
opportunities listed here that your child will enjoy.
K id’sTown is a
place where kids have fun, are loved and connect with God. Each week
in Kid’sTown, kids are taught practical lessons from God’s Word in
fun and creative ways through ministries for infants to sixth
graders. Each ministry is staffed by trained volunteers who love
helping kids. Next time you’re in the neighborhood, drop by
Kid’sTown with your children. They’re going to love it…and so will
you!
Below is a list of some of the regular opportunities for your
children in Kid’sTown. In addition to these weekly ministries, we
have exciting special events like summer VBS, summer camps,
HarvestFest, a winter VBS, missions trips and more. If you would
like more information about Kid’sTown, please contact us. We would
love to meet you.

TinyTown
(Infants-2 years)
Our trained TinyTown nursery staff are happy to provide a safe
and loving environment for your little one. The nursery is
available during all of our main gatherings, including Sunday
morning and Wednesday evening services. When you drop off your
child, you will receive a pager allowing our caregivers to
contact you if the need arises. Security is a priority for us
in TinyTown, so we ensure that children are only released to
authorized individuals. The director of TinyTown has been on
staff at Evangel for more than twelve years, so you can know
that your little ones are in great hands. |

LittleTown (3
years-K)
The staff of LittleTown are looking forward to caring for your
preschooler or kindergartener. LittleTown is always bustling
during our Sunday morning service, as children learn Bible
stories, make crafts, play games and sing songs. There are
plenty of toys and snacks, too! |

|
UpTown (Grade
1-6)
UpTown is the place where children learn practical lessons
from the Bible that they can apply to their daily life.
Children have many different learning styles, so these lessons
are taught by caring leaders in creative ways, including video,
object lessons, hilarious skits, games and more. The kids also
sing the latest songs of worship that get them out of their
seats, praising God with energy and excitement. |

Rainbows
(Pre-School Boys & Girls)
Noah’s Ark provides an exciting theme for the Bible stories,
crafts, full-color activity pages and games for this preschool
club. The caring Rainbows club leaders help the boys and girls
earn colorful animal badges to add to their vests as they
learn God’s Word and grow in their relationship with Christ.
|

|
Royal Rangers
(Boys, K-5th)
Royal Rangers is an exciting environment for your active boy
to be mentored by caring and capable leaders. The boys grow
spiritually through Bible study, memorization and devotionals,
but they are also helped to grow mentally, physically and
socially through participation in a wide range of age-specific
activities and recreation. Royal Rangers enjoy great outdoor
adventures through camping events locally and around the
state. |

|
Missionettes
(Girls, K-5th)
Through love and acceptance, our club leaders help girls
discover their full potential, which begins with a growing
relationship with Jesus Christ. The clubs provide an
environment of support and accountability while helping girls
to develop their gifts and abilities. In addition, girls build
lifelong relationships with each other and with mentors who
encourage them to be spiritual leaders. |
 |
FUSE (6th
Grade Boys & Girls)
Our trained FUSE staff is excited to meet your sixth grader
and help them make the transition from elementary school to
middle school. FUSE has been specifically designed to build a
bridge for your son or daughter from childhood to adolescence.
Students are taught important lessons from God’s Word about
issues that affect them as pre-teens. During the year, FUSE
students have the opportunity to gradually adapt to Uprising
Student ministries by participating periodically in the
Wednesday night youth service. In addition to Wednesday
nights, the kids enjoy lock-ins, outings and a summer missions
trip. |

There is an uprising that is happening among the students of
Evangel. Together they are breaking free of the world and rising up
to their potential in Christ.
Have you
ever thought there was more to life than what you are experiencing
now? Do feel like you are caught in a cultural undertow that is
keeping you from being all that God created you to be? If you are
looking for a place unlike any other, where you can discover your
divine destiny and be helped to achieve it, you’ve found it.
UpRising Student Ministries believes that God has a unique purpose
for your life, but you can’t fulfill it by trying to be like
everyone else.
If
you want to explore God’s incredible plan for your life and how to
get started in following it, come and hang out with us. You’ll find
students just like you who want more than what the world offers, and
who believe a relationship with Christ is where it begins.
Stop by on a Wednesday Night at 7:00 pm for one of our midweek “main
events,” which include crazy and sometimes messy games, cool
giveaways, drama and video, intimate worship, small group
discussions, powerful messages and the chance to make lasting
friendships.
In addition to Wednesday nights, we also go to concerts, play sports
together, sponsor fun activities, attend weekend retreats and summer
camps, have missions trips and more. If you’d like more information,
contact us. Kara and I would love to meet you!

Speed-the-Light
The concept is simple: we give so others can speed the light
of the gospel to a world in darkness. This is accomplished by
providing the essential transportation and creative
communication equipment for missionary evangelism. Through
modern transportation, radio, television, the printed word,
and equipment for mass evangelism, our missionaries can better
fulfill the Great Commission.Speed the Light (STL) is the
student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that Uprising
supports. Through this partnership, we are providing
much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in
over 180 countries around the world. Since its beginning, STL
has raised over $220 million for missionary equipment around
the world. |

|
Fine Arts
Fine Arts is a discipleship tool designed to help students
discover and develop their ministry gifts. Beginning in
September each year, Uprising students start preparing their
entries for the state and national festivals. Students may
enter as many as 35 of the 52 categories offered in seven main
divisions: Art, Communication, Drama, Exhibition,
Instrumental, Vocal, and Writing. In 2008, Uprising had
multiple students travel to Charlotte, NC, to compete against
the best of over 70,000 middle and high school students from
around the country.

Drama Team
When Jesus spoke to people about the Kingdom of God, He often
used stories, some humorous and some heart-wrenching, to
communicate truth in a way that everyone could understand, but
no one could ignore. This is what we try to do.We want to
convey the powerful and profound truths of God’s Kingdom
through stories of everyday life that people can relate
to--especially those who don’t know God. Using many different
means, like human video, dance, spoken drama and improv, our
students are addressing real world issues from a Biblical
perspective.
If you have an interest in drama and would like more
information, please contact us. |

|
Bible Quiz
In Bible Quiz, students learn God’s Word and test their
knowledge against their peers in Georgia and around their
country. In the process they enjoy competition, draw closer to
Christ and make new friends. Please contact us if you’d like
to know more about BQ. |

Small groups are the heartbeat of Evangel. They
provide the "glue" that holds the church together. Through them, we
stay connected as God continues to bless us with growth in our
Sunday service. On the first Sunday evening of every month, these
small groups meet all over our area. Every group has its own
personality, but they all include a Bible discussion of the Sunday
message, time to pray for and encourage each other, as well as a
relaxed time to eat and enjoy one another’s company. Contact us if
you would like help in find a group that is right for you.
Don’t let yourself get “lost in the crowd.” We've found the people
who really grow at Evangel are the ones who join a small group.
Being in Christ-centered relationships is where life change happens
best. Loving and being loved, this is why we connect with others.

Evangel is a church with a passion to fulfill the
call of Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20 to “go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you.”
We are striving to reach our city, our country and our world through
financial and volunteer investment like-minded ministries and
missionaries. These men and women, whom God has gifted and called to
take the message of Jesus to other people groups, extend Evangel’s
reach around the globe. Here is a partial listing of the

Please contact us if you
would like more information about giving to missions, or traveling
on a short-term missions trip.

Welcome to the Worship Arts Ministries page. One of the most
distinctive features of life at Evangel is our heartfelt praise and
worship. This
music, that moves us into His presence, provides an opportunity for
young and old of every culture and background to celebrate the
goodness of God. We glorify Jesus with contemporary worship that
incorporates all styles of music, so that every individual may
experience the presence of God in a real and meaningful way.
The gifted and dedicated musicians and singers who lead us at all of
the main gatherings make up the Worship Arts Team. If you are
interested in being a part of the Worship Arts ministry at Evangel,
take some time to explore the opportunities listed below that are
the open door to involvement in this important area of ministry.
Kara Lee
Worship Arts Director
Choir
The Evangel
Choir is comprised of singers who are passionate about
worshipping God and dedicated to declaring His goodness with
excellence. This group, which includes both men and women, of
all ages and ethnicities, loves to sing songs from composers and
arrangers such as Geron Davis, Mark Condon, Carol Cymbala and
Bradley Knight, just to mention a few.
If you have an interest in joining the choir, please know that
you would be warmly welcomed. The Choir has year-round open
enrollment. To get started, you can
contact us for more information, or you can just drop in for
a rehearsal. We meet in the Chapel every Wednesday at 7:00 pm to
prepare our hearts in worship before breaking away to Room 103
to practice.
Worship Team
Our skilled vocal and instrumental musicians love leading the
congregation into the Throne Room of God. We enjoy praising God
with a wide range of songs in varying styles, from Chris Tomlin
to Israel Houghton, classic hymns to Kurt Carr, Matt Redman to
Martha Munizzi.
Singers on the worship team are drawn from the choir, and
auditions are held year-round for these opportunities. It is
helpful if vocalists have the ability to harmonize by ear in
order to learn new songs and blend with the group.
Instrumentalists interested in joining the band should
preferably be able to read chord charts and improvise in several
keys. The band rehearses every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
at 7:00 PM. Please contact us if you
would like more information of if you have an interest in
sitting in on a rehearsal.
Dance
Dance is a dynamic and powerful expression of worship to God
that we often incorporate in seasonal productions and is a also
a part of our weekend service on occasion. To become a part of
this growing ministry, please contact us
for more information.
Drama
One of the creative ways God speaks to us is through dramas
involving real life characters, in real life situations, working
through real life issues from a Biblical perspective. We look
forward to incorporating drama into our seasonal productions, as
well as weekly services. If you are interested in helping to
establish a great drama ministry, please
contact us for more information.

According to God’s Word, the next important step
after we put our faith in Christ is baptism! For over 2,000 years,
Christians have been baptized to declare to the world that they are
followers of Jesus Christ. This is a significant step on your
spiritual journey and we look forward to celebrating it with you.
At Evangel, we provide regular opportunities to be baptized. If you
would like to be baptized, please contact us for more information on
the next baptism event and to be registered for the baptism class.
